All individual amateur radio operators and amateur radio clubs based in the British Isles (UK, Northern Ireland, Eire, the Isle of Man and Channel Islands) are invited to register to become official SOS Radio Week stations. Once you have received confirmation of your registration you will be able to plan for, and run, your SOS Radio Week amateur radio station. Your station will help to raise awareness of the invaluable and courageous work of the unpaid volunteers of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and independent lifeboat crews and National Coastwatch Institution (NCI) watch-keepers.
Why register?
There are two reasons we’d like participating stations to register…
- So we, and the wider amateur radio community, knows who is taking part, when and where.
- So that you can take part in the fun SOS Radio Week Leagues and win awards at the end of the event.
Any questions?
Do read the FAQs; these will hopefully answer any questions you may have before you register.
