Presentation of 2010 funds to the RNLI

A presentation was made to the Royal national Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) at the recent Norbreck Radio Rally.

Present were Bob (MW0RHD) and Robert (MW6RHD) from the Porthmadog & District Amateur Radio Club, Lisa Cooke from the RNLI and Derek (G7LFC) and David (M3LFC) the event event organisers and members of the Southport & District Amateur Radio Club.

Fifteen individuals and groups signed up to operate at some point during SOS Radio Week 2010. Our heartfelt thanks goes to all those who took part and help raise this magnificent amount of money that smashes the total raised in 2009.

This takes the total raised by British and Irish Amateur Radio operators to over £4,600 in the past two years.
