The HF equipment being used is a Yaesu FT-1000MP (Derek usually uses this transceiver for PSK-31), or a Trio TS-130S (usually used by David for phone contacts). On 2m operations take place using a Kenwood TM-G707 (this is used by all the family for local 2m simplex and repeater operations and worldwide contacts on IRLP using the local node at Southport, GB3OA). Derek also uses the Kenwood for packet radio and APRS (Automatic Packet Report System) activities.
During SOS Radio Week these Amateur Radio operations will be raising money for the Royal national Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
The streaming system used is that provided by Camstreams free of charge.
