The Workington Amateur Radio Club operated an SOS Radio Week 2011 station under the callsign GB2SEA from Working Lifeboat Station.
The 28-ton Workington Lifeboat is the only boat in the fleet to launched by derricks, the crew boarding her before she is lowered in to the water.
