SOS Radio Week raises over £10,000 for the RNLI

Since we started organising SOS Radio Week as an official RNLI fund-raising event in 2009, Amateur Radio operators throughout the UK and Ireland have raised over £10,000 for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). We’ve had a great response to SOS Radio Week 2012 with thirty-nine stations now registered to be operational during the event. £2,350 raised during SOS Radio Week 2011

I spoke to my good friend Simon (MW0GSR), who serves alongside me on the Lifeboat Amateur Radio Society committee,  earlier this evening (28th) to see how things were progressing down at Barmouth and he gave me some sad news.
