All three of the Orkney Islands’ Lifeboat Stations will be on the air between the 21st and 29th of January in support of SOS Radio Week 2012.

Located at the Stromness (Gb1OL), Longhope (GB2OL) and Kirkwall (GB4OL) Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) lifeboat stations the Amateur Radio special stations will be active on most bands, mainly at the weekends, and will concentrate on the 80m, 40m and 20m bands using SSB, CW and data modes.
